Kill the target. Survive your own ghosts. Go one loop deeper.

You're hacking into a system, layer by layer. Your ally Navi explains what's happening as you drop into a glitched retrowave arena with a target to kill.

Clear the arena and the loop resets. But your entire run is recorded and replayed as a ghost. Loop 3 means fighting the target and two phantoms of your past selves doing exactly what you did, shooting where you shot. Every loop you survive adds another one.

One hit and everything you've built gets wiped out! Falling off the map or running out the clock ends it the same way. 

Outliers change everything

Every third or fourth loop, something breaks the rules. Three forces are fighting over what happens to you next:

• Navi hands you compiled viruses : real system exploits in your favor. Every 3–5 loops she offers a choice of 3 cards (time slow, shield, swiftness, triple shot, low gravity). The effect only lasts that loop.
• The Organisation is the system's immune response, fighting back automatically.
• Rogue Phantom the Organisation seizes one of your own ghosts. It stops replaying and starts hunting you.
• Server Timeout: the clock speeds up. The game doesn't get harder, the deadline just gets shorter.
• The System Itself is falling apart, and the bugs cut both ways:

• Phantom Corrupted (a ghost's data mangles and it vanishes, good for you)
• Double Rogue (two phantoms go rogue at once, bad for you)
• Powerup Glitch (your card doubles or halves in effect)
• Timer Glitch (your countdown speeds up or slows down)
• Deathless (rare, you're briefly invincible)

Nobody warns you why. Not even Navi knows.

Pick your arena and see how deep you can get. Depth is the score, die and the run 

reports exactly where "THE CHAIN BROKE."
